The pizza was really good. The service was slow, which was surprising since we were the only ones there until the end of the meal.
The first time I gave up on the order after waiting TWO HOURS. I called a couple times and was assured it was on it's way, but it never showed up.
Third time's a charm, right? After waiting an hour and a half, I called to check on it. I was told the driver made a mistake and delivered it to the wrong address. But they had another one in the oven I could have of I wanted. Needless to say, I canceled that order as well.
My problem is their delivery is terrible. I'm an engineer at a local business. When we have weekend work I'll buy the employees lunch to thank them. Three times in the past two months I've ordered Beggar's.
First, let me say their pizza is fantastic. Nice thick crust and lots of toppings.
Like I said, Beggar's pizza is great. Just make sure you dine in.
I have to say... The pizza was fantastic! The atmosphere was really cool and the waitress was amazing! Polite, helpful, and very appreciative. We had a table for 10 and she did a great job! She even tried to give back some if the tip. We told her she did a fantastic job and it was well deserved. She was very grateful and gave us all hugs. HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for the great service.
The second time the pizza came in about an hour and fifteen minutes. All seemed good, and I gave a decent tip. When I received my bank statement it showed I was charged $2 more than I had signed for on the receipt. I don't enjoy explaining why my receipt doesn't match the charge on my expense report.
Always good food. Good service. Need one in Michigan.
So, 0 for 3 Beggar's! It was not fun telling the employees they didn't get lunch (which they plan on) because of poor delivery. I won't make that mistake again.
I am a delivery customer and have been since the store opened. The quality of the pizza is iffy at best no consistency in the quality, taste or time of delivery! Always a surprise and a mystery when I order delivery. The food is excellent maybe two out of three times. Big issue with over cooked, dried out & burnt pizza!! I was A big customer of the Beggars store in Blue Island I believe the original pizza parlor... now that’s GOOD eaten!!!
